About Department

University Institute of Pharmacy, approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) is one of the leading Pharmacy Institute in the state and country. The Institute is situated in the beautiful lush green campus of Chattrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, a state university of Uttar Pradesh. It was established in year 2004 with the object of imparting quality Pharmacy education in India. The Institute is supported with learned faculty and with state of art facilities to update the knowledge. The Institute provides enough opportunities to scholars for development of their individual skills in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute started with B. Pharm. (4 Years) course in 2004, subsequently M. Pharm. (2 Years) course in two specialisations viz Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, was started in 2012, and D. Pharm. (2 Years) course was started in 2018. M.Pharm in Pharmacology specialization is added in 2020.  The Institute has been successful in maintaining high level of education which is reflected by placement of nearly all the passed students with excellence in their areas of interest and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) – a national level examination. University Institute of Pharmacy always provides quality of education to the enrolled students and motivates them for their bright futures. All the faculties work with dedication to accomplish golden dreams of their students. The Institute provide Perfect ambiance and appropriate platform to groom future pharmacist that offer their services at national and international level.

Projects

  • A research project grant under DBT Twinning programme from Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Total cost of Project Rs. 3295000/- (Amount sanction to CSJM University Rs. 1318000/-).
  • A research project grant under DBT Twinning programme from Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Total cost of Project Rs. 7982800/- (Amount sanction to CSJM University Rs. 2423200/-).
  • A minor research project received & complèted from C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. (Amount of project grant Rs. 48000/-)
